STABLE design, sell and produce stabilized platforms for use on ships and floating platforms
Our history
STABLE was established in 2002. STABLE is based on Marine Stabilised Platform technology originally developed for use in heaving compensating, 400 tons, cranes for the Northern Seas Offshore Industry. The cranes are used for smooth landing of delicate equipment on the sea bed during rough weather conditions. This technology has been adapted and fine-tuned to provide a practically acceleration-free platform along its surface. The platform eliminates accelerations due to roll and pitch movements of the vessel. To achieve this, the platform movements are computed as a function of the ship movements, which are partly measured and partly computed by the Stable control system.
Proven technology
STABLE has proven its value through one of the most demanding applications in terms of responsiveness and accuracy: the STABLE Billiard, which has been installed on a number of cruise ships. Thousands of cruise passengers have had the pleasure to enjoy a steady game of pool, even in rough sea.
The stabilized platforms remove the roll and pitch movements caused by a ship/platform moving in the waves (or a car making turns or decelerating/accelerating) or in other word: stabilize humans or “things” onboard a ship moving in the waves.
Typical applications:
- billiard tables
- beds
- dining table
- relaxations area
- working area like an instrument container
- bowling allay
- surgical bed
- wine cabinet
